Carolina basketball makes news year-round. Here are some of the latest Tar Heel hoops news & notes some may have missed recently, including full coverage of the reunion.
1. NEWS & NOTES
• The NCAA has scrapped the RPI as a factor in assembling the NCAA Tournament field, replacing it with a new formula called the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET).
• A report from CBS' Jon Rothstein suggests this Tar Heels might be among the teams heading to The Bahamas for the 2019 Battle 4 Atlantis next year:
Sources: North Carolina, Gonzaga, Michigan, Oregon, Iowa State, Seton Hall, Alabama, and Southern Miss will headline the 2019 Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.

• Phil Ford played some wheelchair basketball for a good cause this week in Raleigh.
2. LAST WEEK
• The Carolina Basketball Family Reunion last weekend drew over 300 former letterwinners and their family members. The degree to which former Tar Heel players enjoyed the reunion was obvious last Friday and Saturday as players reminisced, posed for photos together, asked for each other's autographs and more. Many attendees realized at the end of the festivities in the Smith Center and Kenan Stadium on Friday and Saturday nights that they'd neglected to eat dinner because they'd gotten so caught up in reconnecting and telling stories.
• Here's a list of Adam Lucas' stories from the reunion weekend, in case you missed any of them:
Lucas: Family First (Saturday evening)
Lucas: Sign of the Times (Saturday pickup game)
Lucas: Final Floor (Friday evening)
• The Carolina Insider podcast recapped the reunion from behind the scenes:

Of all the events I've been lucky enough to be a part of, tonight's @UNC_Basketball reunion and official "Roy Williams Court" dedication may have been the best. It was such an honor to be involved. #CarolinaFamilyWknd https://t.co/1s0waphLUi
