Kea Selected ACC Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina senior Paris Kea was named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday after a historic 30-point, 10-assist performance against No. 1 Notre Dame.
From Greensboro, N.C., Kea earns her first conference player of the week award by averaging 28.0 points, 6.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds spanning two victories last week for the Tar Heels, who now sit 12-9 overall, 3-4 in the ACC.
Against Notre Dame, Kea registered a season-high 30 points and 10 assists in the 78-73 win over the top-ranked Fighting Irish. Kea is the fourth Division I player in the last 20 years to have a 30-point, 10-assist game against a ranked opponent.
Also on Monday, Kea was named espnW national player of the week.
She had 26 points, five rebounds and two assists in Carolina's victory on the road at Virginia Tech on Thursday.
According to ESPN, the Tar Heel win snapped a 198-game losing streak by unranked teams against the No. 1 ranked team in the country.
