TAR HEELS AND CAVALIERS
• UNC and Virginia will face off in the 124th edition of the South's Oldest Rivalry. The game will also serve as Military Appreciation Day at Kenan Stadium.
• Only Minnesota and Wisconsin's annual battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe has been played more often (127 times) among FBS rivalries. Miami (Ohio) and Cincinnati also met earlier this year for the 124th time.Â
• UNC is 32-14-3 all-time at home against Virginia. The Cavaliers won the last meeting at Kenan Stadium in 2017, 20-14.Â
• Prior to 2017, the Tar Heels won three straight home games against UVA in 2011, 2013 and 2015.Â
LAST TIME OUT
• The Tar Heels are coming off another dramatic victory last Saturday, 20-17, over Duke to reclaim the Victory Bell for the first time since 2015.
