Hislop, Robinson To Compete at NCAA Regional

CHAPEL HILL, NC — Khazia Hislop and Mikayla Robinson will represent Carolina Gymnastics as Individuals and compete on Friday, April 5, at the Athens Regional in the 2019 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships. Both Tar Heels are making their third consecutive appearance at the Regional level.
"Our coaching staff and team members are absolutely delighted for Mikayla and Khazia," said North Carolina head coach Derek Galvin. "We are excited to see them compete among the best in the nation."
HIslop will compete on vault, beam and floor during the Regional. She earned an individual spot on vault with a national qualifying score of 9.890, placing No. 23 in the nation. On beam, Hislop is ranked No. 79 in the nation with a NQS 9.855 throughout the season. Checking in at No. 16 on floor, Hislop qualified for postseason competition with a national qualifying score of 9.925. Hislop will rotate with Iowa State during the meet. She competes in Session I on Friday, April 5th, which will start at approximately 2 p.m. She will compete in the second (beam), third (floor) and fourth (vault) rotations with the Cyclones.
Robinson earned her way to the Regional to compete on vault. She finished the season with a NQS of 9.840 and ranked No. 75 in the nation. Robinson will rotate with California during Session II of the Athens Regional on Friday, April 5th. Session II will being at approximately 7 p.m. and Robinson will compete in California's third rotation, vault.
