Four Tar Heels Competing At World University Games

Four members of the North Carolina track and field teams are in action this week at the 2019 World University Games at San Paolo Stadium in Naples, Italy. Anna Keefer and Jill Shippee will represent the Tar Heel women while Daniel McArthur and Isaiah Palmer are competing on the men's side.Â
McArthur placed eighth in his group of the men's shot put with a top mark of 18.33 meters Monday morning. Palmer is scheduled to compete in both the 400 meters (July 10) and the 4x400 relay (July 13).
Keefer will be in action in three events - the long jump (July 8), 100 meters (July 9) and 4x400 relay (July 13). Shippee competes in the women's hammer throw on July 12.
