WNBA Summer Update
August 1, 2019 | Women's Basketball
With six weeks remaining in the 2019 WNBA regular season, catch up on how Tar Heel alums are playing this season. The Washington Mystics with LaToya Sanders '08 and Los Angeles Sparks with Tierra Ruffin-Pratt '13 are both in second place in their respective divisions. Both Camille Little '07 and Ruffin-Pratt are in action tonight as Phoenix travels to Connecticut and Los Angeles hosts Las Vegas.

In her second season with Atlanta, Breland currently ranks eighth in the WNBA with 5.7 defensive rebounds per game. Upping her career single-game high to four steals on July 2 vs. Minnesota, Breland 1.33 steals/game puts her at 13th in the league. Breland has averaged 22.2 minutes per game through 21 starts this season. The 2011 graduate collected double-digit rebounds three times, including a season-best of 13 vs. Connecticut on July 10.
