Former Tar Heel Camille Little Retires from WNBA

Announcing her retirement on June 26, Camille Little finished her WNBA career as the Phoenix Mercury's 2019 season came to an end with a playoff loss to the Chicago Sky on Sept. 11, 2019.
The 2007 Carolina graduate played 13 seasons in the league, seeing time in 431 games and starting 328. Selected in the second round of the 2007 WNBA Draft by the San Antonio Stars, Little was named to the WNBA All-Rookie team after playing in 34 games and shooting 41 percent from the floor in her first season. Little's career was highlighted by the 2010 WNBA Championship with the Seattle Storm who she started every game from 2009-2014. During 2010 WNBA Finals, she averaged 14.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in three games, while shooting 53.8 percent from the field.
Prior to retiring, Little was one of four active players in the WNBA with 1,700 career rebounds and 150+ made three-pointers (Diana Taurasi, DeWanna Bonner and Candace Parker). She scored her 3,000th career point and 1,500th career rebound in the same week against Los Angeles on July 15, 2016 and at Indiana on July 13, 2016, respectively. Little recorded her 500th career assist one season later on July 19, 2017 vs. Indiana.
Throughout her career, Little played with the San Antonio Stars, Atlanta Dream, Seattle Storm and Connecticut Sun before spending three seasons with the Phoenix Mercury prior to retirement.
