Elizabeth Culton Named EAGL Rookie of the Year

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Freshman Elizabeth Culton was named 2020 East Atlantic Gymnastic League Rookie of the Year on Tuesday, March 31 for her performances in competitions throughout the season.
Culton represented North Carolina as an all-around competitor in all ten meets that the team participated in this season. She was named EAGL Rookie of the Week twice, and was recently named First Team All-EAGL on bars, beam, and in the All-Around, and Second Team on floor exercise.
In addition to her work in the gym, Culton also participated extensively in Community Service efforts and was named to the All-EAGL Academic Team.
Throughout her rookie season, Culton finished on the podium a total of 25 times. Out of ten competitions, Culton earned first-place in the all-around competition six times.
