Blue Wins Game III Of The Fall World Series

Chapel Hill, NC -- Â The Blue squad scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back as they took a 6-1 win over Navy in the seven-inning final game of the Fall World Series. Navy took the series by winning the first two games.
Alberto Osuna singled to left to drive in the game's first run in the first. Johnny Castagnozzi then drove in a run with a single up the middle before Max Riemer capped off the three-run first with a sacrifice fly to right.Â
Navy picked up its only run of the game on Angel Zarate's sacrifice fly to center in the third. Blue responded with back-to-back solo homers in the bottom of the inning. Both Osuna and Castagnozzi drilled homers to left center. Casey Cook completed the day's scoring with an RBI-single to right in the fourth for the final 6-1 score.
Osuna and Castagnozzi were the only players with multiple base hits. Osuna was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs scored, while Castagnozzi was 2-3 with two RBI and one run scored.
Six Blue pitchers combined to hold Navy to just one run on only three base hits. Caleb Cozart started and gave up one run in 2.1 innings. Will Sandy, Alden Segui, Nick James, Nik Pry and Davis Palermo threw in relief for Blue. Kyle Mott, Connor Ollio and Connor Bovair threw for Navy.
