Tar Heels Arrive In Bimini For Goombay Splash Action

BIMINI, Bahamas – It look a bus, two planes and a boat, but the UNC women's basketball team arrived safely and happily in Bimini on Tuesday afternoon to prepare for this week's Goombay Splash. The Tar Heels (4-0) will take on VCU on Friday and Washington on Saturday. The Rams and Huskies face off on Thursday in the first game of the event.
All three games will be played at Gateway Christian Academy and will stream live on FloHoops. For purchase info, click here.
The Tar Heels are set to meet the Rams on Friday at 1 p.m. It will be the third meeting in program history, with the other two coming in 2008-09 and then in 2018-19.
It will also be the third meeting with Washington, which Carolina takes on Saturday at noon. The Tar Heels' and Huskies' first two matchups came in 1988-89 (a UW win) and in 2017-18 (a Carolina win).
