Gray Goes Back-To-Back For ACC Honor
February 16, 2021 | Men's Lacrosse
For the second time in as many weeks, UNC senior Chris Gray has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the league.
Gray and the Tar Heels (2-0) are in action Tuesday afternoon against High Point for a 2 p.m. home game at Dorrance Field.
Gray, from Wading River, N.Y., had another big day for the Tar Heels in Saturday's 18-7 win over Jacksonville. He finished with four goals and three assists in the Carolina victory.
It's Gray's fourth ACC weekly honor as a Tar Heel. He earned Offensive Player of the Week honors twice in the shortened 2020 season and then has gone back-to-back in the first two weeks of this season.
Virginia's Bobby Gavin was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
