CLEMSON, S.C. – The UNC women's basketball team plays its second consecutive road game Thursday, looking to pick up a third consecutive win. The Tar Heels take on the Clemson Tigers for a 7 p.m. tipoff at Littlejohn Coliseum.

UNC (10-8, 5-8 Atlantic Coast Conference) is coming off its first road win of the season, 81-72 at Pitt on Sunday. Clemson is 10-7 overall and 5-7 in ACC play.
The Tar Heels and Tigers are meeting for the 87th time in a rivalry that dates back to the 1975-76 season. UNC leads 58-28 after winning the last three in a row, eight of the past nine and 25 of the last 27.
• Last season, UNC won 86-72 in Chapel Hill on Feb. 2, 2020. Janelle Bailey was one of two Tar Heels to pass 20 points, finishing with 23. (Then-senior Taylor Koenen was the leading scorer for UNC, finishing with 26.)
• In the last matchup in Clemson, UNC won 70-64 on Feb. 10, 2019. Bailey shared the scoring lead in that one with 15 points. The Tar Heels started slowly, hitting just one of their first 11 shots as Clemson got out to a 14-3 lead, but stormed back to improve to 6-5 in ACC play.
• Next up for UNC is another road game, but this one closer to home. The Tar Heels travel to Raleigh Sunday afternoon to take on fourth-ranked NC State. Tipoff is at noon.
