Tar Heels Travel To Richmond For Season's First Road Game

Second-ranked North Carolina plays its first road game of the 2021 season on Sunday, traveling to take on the No. 16 Richmond Spiders at Robins Stadium. The game is at 2 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+.
The Tar Heels come into the game 3-0 following a win over No. 15 High Point at home on Tuesday. The Spiders are 0-1 after opening the season last Sunday with an overtime loss to No. 10 Loyola, 8-7 at home.
Richmond and Carolina are meeting for the fifth time, with the series tied at 2-2. Richmond has won the last two meetings, in Chapel Hill in 2017 and in Richmond in 2018. In the most recent meeting, the Spiders won 11-10 at Robins Stadium on March 14, 2018.
After Sunday's game, the Tar Heels will play their next two at home, hosting High Point on Feb. 27 and Mercer on March 6.
