CHAPEL HILL- In a night where North Carolina's Lily Dean was honored as part of senior night, UNC rolled William & Mary 196.150-190.800 inside Carmichael Arena.
North Carolina's final tally of 196.150 was Carolina's highest final score since 196.325 on Feb. 28, 2020 in a win over George Washington.
UNC turned in an impressive performance on the vault for the first rotation and led 49.150-46.675. Hallie Thompson and Drew Aldridge led the squad with a scores of 9.875. Emery Summey turned in a 9.825, while Elizabeth Culton posted a 9.800 and Brianna Greenlow a 9.775.
The Tar Heels moved to the uneven bars for the second rotation. Culton led North Carolina with a 9.850, while Greenlow turned in a 9.800, Kate Greene a 9.750, Summey a 9.700, and Jamie Shearer a 9.675. Carolina led 97.925-95.000 halfway through the meet.
Culton posted an impressive 9.950 on the beam, Carolina's third rotation of the evening, while Thompson recorded a 9.800. Summey, Greenlow, and Shearer each posted a score of 9.775 to round out the Tar Heels' rotation. The Tar Heels represented the top-five scores in the event between both programs.
Going into the fourth rotation, floor exercise, North Carolina claimed a 147.000-143.500 lead.
North Carolina dominated the fourth rotation and recorded the top-five scores on the floor. Culton led the Heels with a 9.900 while Julianna Weil ended with a. 9.825. Greenlow was the Tar Heels' third place finisher, while Greene and Dean each posted a score of 9.800.
The meet concluded the regular season for the North Carolina. UNC's focus shifts to the EAGL championship in Pittsburgh, Pa. on March 20.
