His performances earned him ACC Player of the Week on Monday (March 15). Since, in his last five games, he is 1-for-16 with an RBI.
• The Tar Heels lead the ACC in home runs with 24. They're the first UNC team to hit 24 home runs through 18 games since the 2009 team did it with 23.
• In addition to his 39-game on-base streak, Angel Zarate has hit safely in 13 of his last 14 games. Only one Tar Heel holds a longer streak since 1999 – Logan Warmoth (2016-2017).
• Angel Zarate has reached base in 39-straight games, dating back to UNC's 16-1 win over Liberty in the 2019 Chapel Hill regional.
