Softball Welcomes Charlotte For Midweek Matchup

CHAPEL HILL – After a four-game series at Clemson, North Carolina returns home to welcome Charlotte to Anderson Stadium Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Each game will be broadcast on ACCNX. Fans can follow live stats at UNClivestats.com. Anderson Stadium's updated attendance policy can be found on goheels.com.
The Tar Heels enter the weekend 10-12 overall while Charlotte comes to Chapel Hill with a 17-8 record.

Most recently, the Tar Heels dropped their four-game series at Clemson. Carolina scored one run in each game of the series. Destiny Middleton managed two of UNC's 11 hits throughout the weekend.
» Katie Grace Olinger made her season debut on Friday and struck out four in a complete game Saturday.
» Both reached-base streaks for Kristina Burkhardt and Taylor Greene are at two. Greene leads the Tar Heels with four multi-RBI games.

Charlotte is coming off a 3-1 weekend over C-USA foe, Middle Tennessee. Although Middle Tennessee led by three to begin the series finale, the 49ers came from behind with a 6-4 win highlighted by home runs by Bailey Vannoy and Madelyn Wright.
Assistant coach Taylor Wike was a four-time all-ACC selection at North Carolina under head coach Donna J. Papa. Earning NFCA all-Southeast Region honors as a junior and senior, Wike helped the Tar Heels to three consecutive NCAA tournaments before graduating in 2018.
