Top Storylines
• North Carolina enters the weekend series after it's first extra-inning game of the year, a 3-2 win in 10 innings against South Carolina on Tuesday.
• In his last two appearances out of the bullpen, Gage Gillian has been electric. Against FSU and SC, he combined for 7.1, 10 strikeouts, three hits and no walks.
• The Tar Heels rank second in the ACC in home runs with 34. Carolina hit four home runs at ECU last Tuesday. Since, UNC has hit just one.
• Caleb Roberts has been impressive in the Tar Heels' last seven games. In his last 28 at-bats, he has collected 13 hits, which has included three doubles, two home runs and six RBI. His RBI single was the go-ahead run against South Carolina.
• Carolina started four true freshman against Florida State on Friday night. It was the first time in 2021 that Coach Forbes has elected for four first-year players in the starting lineup.
• UNC junior Joey Lancellotti will miss the rest of the 2021 baseball season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last week. Lancellotti made four appearances for the Tar Heels this season with an ERA of 2.45.
• Hunter Stokely has seen action seven of the last eight games and has blasted a pair of home runs and three RBI. He has made four starts during that time period after starting once in the Tar Heels first 19 games. His pinch-hit RBI against SC Tuesday proved essential in Charlotte.
• Shawn Rapp will be making his first start of the year on Saturday. In his career, he made 22 appearances out of the bullpen and thrown 22 innings (2.05 ERA, 17 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 11 BB, 27 SO).
• Scott Forbes is the only first-year head coach among Power 5 conference programs in 2021.
• Scott Forbes took the reigns from Mike Fox on Aug. 7, 2020, who wrapped up a legendary 22-year career at Carolina. He becomes just the fifth head coach of the Tar Heel baseball program since 1931.

• Parking – Fans may park in a number of parking lots, including Ehringhaus Lot, Stadium Drive, and the Raleigh Road Visitors Lot.Â
• ADA parking is available via the Rams Head Deck with a disability tag.
• The Hall of Honor will be closed to the general public during the 2021 Carolina Baseball Season
