Gray Recognized As ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Senior Chris Gray has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year and leads six Tar Heels selected for the All-ACC Academic Team, announced on Tuesday by the league.
Joining Gray on the team are Will Bowen, Collin Krieg, Connor Maher, Zac Tucci and Matt Wright.
Gray, an attackman from Wading River, N.Y., was the 2021 ACC Offensive Player of the Year and recipient of an ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship. He majored in management and society and will begin studies at Kenan-Flagler Business School in the coming year.
Bowen, a junior defenseman from Cohasset, Mass., majored in business administration and graduated from UNC in May.
Krieg, a freshman goalkeeper from Stony Brook, N.Y., has not yet declared a major.
Maher, a junior midfielder from Timonium, Md., is majoring in business administration.
Tucci, a junior face-off specialist from Bedford, N.H., is also a business administration major.
Wright, a sophomore defenseman from Calgary, Alberta, is majoring in exercise and sport science.
