Blue and Navy play to a 2-2 tie on Saturday.

Chapel Hill, NC -- The Navy and Blue squads played to a 2-2 tie in an eight-inning scrimmage on Saturday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Navy got on the board first when Tyler Causey scored on an infield throwing error in the top of the second.. Blue tied the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the inning on a Colby Wilkerson run-scoring single to center.
Blue went up 2-1 in the third when Max Riemer hit a sacrifice fly to right. Navy tied things up in the eighth and final inning when Joe Jaconski drove in a run with a single.
Tyler Causey led all players with a 3-3 performance that included two doubles and a run scored. Clemente Inclan was the only other player with multiple base hits. Inclan was 2-4 with a double and one run scored. Dylan King ripped a double to right for the only other extra base hit.
Shaddon Peavyhouse, Will Sandy, Alden Segui and Gage Gillian threw for Navy. Brandon Schaeffer, Tanner Quick, Shawn Rapp and Nick Argento threw for Blue. Sandy struck out five hitters in 2.2 innings of work while giving up one hit and no runs. Shawn Rapp struck out six batters in 3.0 innings while giving up two hits and no runs.
The Tar Heels will hold their next scrimmage on Tuesday.
