TAR HEELS AND DEMON DEACONS
• North Carolina and Wake Forest face each other on the football field for the 110th time and the fourth year in a row.
• UNC and Wake have combined to average 112.5 points in the last two meetings. Carolina came away with a 59-53 win in 2020 and a 58-55 W in '21.
• The Tar Heels are 20-15 all-time on the road against Wake Forest, but have dropped the last three occurrences in 2007, 2012 and 2019.
• Carolina last won in Winston-Salem, 31-24, in 2004.
• The two in-state rivals played non-conference games in 2019 and 2021 with the teams winning their respective home games.Â
• Carolina's 71 wins against Wake Forest are the most over any single opponent in program history.

• Drake Maye threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to outscore Virginia 21-7 after halftime to rally for a 31-28 victory Saturday.
• Elijah Green scored twice and Josh Downs caught 15 passes, including a touchdown, for the Tar Heels, who are now 5-0 in league play for the first time since 2015, when they qualified for their lone appearance in the ACC championship.
BROWN VS. WAKE FOREST
• Mack Brown is 11-3 all-time against Wake Forest and 10-3 as the head coach of the Tar Heels.
• He lost his first two games with UNC in 1988 and 1989, before Brown's men ran off the next eight from 1990-97. He fell to the Deacs 24-17 in 2019 and then earned high-scoring victories in 2020 and 2021.
• Brown defeated Wake, 27-25, in his first game as head coach at the helm of Appalachian State in 1983. The game was played in Winston-Salem.
