CHAPEL HILL – After four games away from home, the No. 8 North Carolina women's basketball team returns to Carmichael Arena on Wednesday to host UNCW. Tipoff is 6 p.m.
The Tar Heels come into the matchup 6-1 and the Seahawks are 2-5.
Wednesday's game is the first of three straight at home for UNC, which won't play outside the state again in 2022. After taking on the Seahawks, Carolina hosts Wofford on Sunday at 1 p.m. and USC-Upstate on Dec. 16 at 6 p.m..
Tar Heels vs. Seahawks
UNC and UNCW are meeting for the fifth time in a series that dates back to the 1998-99 season. The teams last faced off on Dec. 20, 2019, in head coach Courtney Banghart's first season in Chapel Hill, with the Tar Heels winning 85-45 in a game played in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The teams last met in Chapel Hill the previous season, with Carolina winning 82-55 at Carmichael Arena on Dec. 5, 2018.
