Softball Hosts North Carolina A&T Wednesday For Home Opener

CHAPEL HILL, N.C -Â After opening the 2022 softball season with 10 games on the road, the Tar Heels will finally play at Anderson Softball Stadium. Carolina hosts North Carolina A&T on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the team's home opener. Admission to the game is free.

After the Tar Heels opened the season 4-0 on the road at South Carolina, Carolina has gone 2-4 over the last six games, falling to 6-4 on the year. NC A&T enters the game with the same record, 6-4, coming off a 6-5Â win over George Mason on Feb. 20.

The Tar Heels are 21-4 in the all-time series over the Aggies, riding an eight-game win streak. The last matchup came on March 25, 2003, when Carolina earned a 13-0 victory in Greensboro, N.C.
