Softball Hosts North Carolina A&T Wednesday For Home Opener

CHAPEL HILL, N.C - After opening the 2022 softball season with 10 games on the road, the Tar Heels will finally play at Anderson Softball Stadium. Carolina hosts North Carolina A&T on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the team's home opener. Admission to the game is free.

For those unable to those unable to attend in person, the matchup will also be streamed live on ACCNX with Matt Krause on the call.

After the Tar Heels opened the season 4-0 on the road at South Carolina, Carolina has gone 2-4 over the last six games, falling to 6-4 on the year. NC A&T enters the game with the same record, 6-4, coming off a 6-5 win over George Mason on Feb. 20.

The Tar Heels are 21-4 in the all-time series over the Aggies, riding an eight-game win streak. The last matchup came on March 25, 2003, when Carolina earned a 13-0 victory in Greensboro, N.C.
