HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chris Gray scored four goals to pace No. 9 North Carolina to a 14-12 victory over High Point Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened

High Point's Hunter Vines scored two goals in the first three minutes to give the Panthers an early lead.
Goals by Chris Gray and Jacob Kelly would tie the game at three before High Point scored a late goal to take a 4-3 lead after one quarter.
The second would be back and forth as well as the score was tied at six heading into halftime.
The Panthers would score three unanswered in the third quarter to take the 9-8 lead.
The Tar Heels would soon answer with a 6-0 run to give them the 14-9 lead midway through the fourth.
High Point scored three straight late in the game, but it was not enough as UNC would hold on for the victory.

Chris Gray led the team with four goals.
Cole Herbert racked up three goals in the winning effort.
Jacob Kelly and Lance Tillman both collected two goals.
Nicky Solomon collected three assists for the third time this season.
Freshman Antonio DeMarco (2G) and Paul Barton (1G) scored their first career goal at UNC.
Zac Tucci went 12-21 at the face-off while picking up a team-leading five ground balls.
Collin Krieg was solid in the cage and finished with 15 saves and three ground balls
