Kelly Named To Greensboro Regional All-Tournament Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina guard Deja Kelly has been named to the Greensboro Regional All-Tournament team, the NCAA announced on Sunday evening.
A sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, Kelly scored 23 points on Friday in the fifth-seeded Tar Heels' 69-61 loss to top-seeded South Carolina, which went on to beat Creighton in the region final Sunday and earn a spot in the Final Four.
Kelly was 9-18 from the field (1-2 from three) and hit all four of her free throws. She also had five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in her 39 minutes of play.
It was Kelly's eighth 20-point game of the season and her second in Carolina's three NCAA Tournament games. A first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection, she ended the season averaging 16.5 points per game.
South Carolina's Aliyah Boston was the region's Most Outstanding Player. Fellow Gamecock Destanni Henderson joined her on the All-Tournament Team. Rounding out the five were Creighton's Lauren Jensen and Iowa State's Emily Ryan.
