Five Tar Heels Earn ILWomen All-America Nods

CHAPEL HILL—Five University of North Carolina women's lacrosse players earned spots on the 2022 Inside Lacrosse All-America Teams, released on Monday by the magazine.
Tar Heels Ally Mastroianni (midfield), Jamie Ortega (attack) and Emma Trenchard (defense) made the first team. Defender Emily Nalls was on the second team, and goalie Taylor Moreno was on the third team.
Scottie Rose Growney (attack), Caitlyn Wurzburger (attack) and Brooklyn Walker-Welch (defense) were honorable mention selections.
Carolina will play Northwestern in the NCAA semifinals on Friday at 3 p.m. in Baltimore.
