UNC Dominates Day One Of Furman Fall Classic

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The North Carolina women's tennis team opened the fall season in spectacular fashion at the Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic Friday in Greenville, S.C.
UNC won six of its seven singles matches, while two doubles teams reached the finals in their respective flights.
Flight 1 doubles saw No. 36 Reilly Tran and Carson Tanguilig post a pair of victories on Friday morning over South Carolina and Wake Forest's No. 3 ranked tandem of Anya Brylin and Brooke Killingsworth, and will now face Duke on Sunday in the flight championship match at 9 a.m.
Fiona Crawley and Abbey Forbes had similar success in flight two doubles. Playing together for the first time, the Tar Heel tandem knocked off teams from Mississippi State and Wake Forest, and will take on a South Carolina duo tomorrow at 9 a.m.
Saturday features the final round of doubles action and one round of singles play. Sunday will boast the final round of singles.Â
