Solid Start For Men's Heptathlon In Nebraska

Results
LINCOLN, NEB.—The heptathlon group for the University of North Carolina men's indoor track and field team put in a solid, first-day performance on Friday at the Husker Invitational.
Sam Corley, Bryce Kazmaier, Max Stakun-Pickering and Isaac Young represented the Tar Heels in a talented heptathlon field that included teams from Northern Iowa, Washington, Azusa Pacific, Kansas and host Nebraska.
Corley led UNC in ninth place overall through four events with a combined score of 2,963. Stakun-Pickering was 11th, Young was 12th and Kazmaier was 13th.
When action resumes on Saturday, remaining events are the 60m hurdles, pole vault and 1000m.
Carolina started the day with a strong performance when all four Tar Heels set personal records in the 60-meters. Stakun-Pickering finished eighth in 7.15 seconds, Corley was ninth in 7.18, Kazmaier was 11th in 7.26 and Young finished 15th in 7.40.
