17 Tar Heels Named To The 2023 ACC All-Academic Fencing Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - 17 members from the North Carolina fencing team have been named to the ACC All-Academic team for 2023.Â
ÂTo be selected for the ACC All-Academic Team, student-athletes need to meet certain academic criteria and participate in either the ACC Championship or NCAA Championship. Athletes must have a minimum 3.0 GPA for the previous semester and maintain a 3.0 cumulative average throughout their academic career to be eligible.
ÂFive first-years have been named to the ACC All-Academic team and 11 Tar Heels make their return.Â
ÂThe Tar Heels will be back in action at the USA Fencing Division 1 National Championships on April 21st in St. Louis, Mo.Â
