October 15, 2024 | Women's Basketball
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina's Alyssa Ustby has been named to the Preseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball team, announced Tuesday by the ACC. It's her first appearance on the preseason team.
"The ACC is the premier women's basketball conference and Alyssa being recognized on the first team, is a testament to her skill, development, effectiveness, and relentlessness over her career," UNC coach Courtney Banghart said. "She has expanded her game from a year ago and I look forward to her having her best year yet."
Ustby earned second-team All-ACC honors last season after averaging 12.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.
In the same balloting, UNC was predicted to finish sixth in the ACC, behind Notre Dame,
