Women’s Lacrosse Inks 10 On National Signing Day

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina women's lacrosse has inked 10 players during National Signing Day on Wednesday, all who will arrive in Chapel Hill as freshmen in Fall 2025.

The Tar Heels' signing class features Brigid Carovillano, Emma Connerty, Mairyn Dwyer, Audrey Hurleman, Reese King, Gabby Lauretani, Payton Magday, Charlotte Rathjen, Sophie Stoltz and Grace Winkler.

"My staff and I couldn't be more excited to welcome this special Class of 2025 to Chapel Hill," said head coach Jenny Levy. "They are a distinguished group of standout players, excellent students and high-character individuals who will make an immediate impact as Tar Heels when they arrive on campus next fall. Together, these student-athletes will help us continue to compete for championships while carrying out the values that make Carolina Lacrosse what, and who, we are."

Led by assistant coach and director of recruiting Phil Barnes, the Tar Heels routinely bring in top-ranked recruits. The cohort, which will graduate UNC in May 2029, is currently tabbed as the No. 2 class by Inside Lacrosse, and No. 1 based on points. Connerty, Dwyer, King, Stoltz and Winkler have earned five stars by Inside Lacrosse.

Carolina's Class of 2025 signees include one goalie, one defender, two attackers and six midfielders. They hail from six different states, including two apiece from Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts and New York.
