Men’s Lacrosse Cruises Over Wagner, 18-4

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Jumping out to an 11-0 lead to begin the contest, the 17th-ranked North Carolina men's lacrosse team (5-2) earned its third-straight victory, defeating Wagner 18-4.
How It Happened
• Carolina outscored Wagner 7-0 in the first quarter, with four goals from Owen Duffy, two courtesy of Dominic Pietramala, and Logan McGovern hitting the back of the net.
• The Tar Heels jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the game, scoring the second quarter's first four goals.
• Following a Wagner score with 8:27 left in the half, Carolina claimed the first half's final two goals, leading 13-1 entering halftime.
• The host Seahawks rattled off two-straight goals to begin the final 30 minutes of play, followed by two consecutive from the Tar Heels.
• A Wagner score with 13 second remaining in the goal trimmed the Carolina lead to 15-4 entering the fourth.
• The Tar Heels scored the game's final four goals, courtesy of Lance Tillman, Pietramala and Niko Karetsos.

• Duffy's five first half goals and Logan McGovern's seven assists help fuel the Carolina offense.
