Tar Heel Duo Earn All-America Nod From ILWomen

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – A pair of North Carolina women's lacrosse players in Emily Nalls and Ashley Humphrey have earned All-America honors from ILWomen, as announced by the organization on Thursday.
Nalls earned All-America Second Team praise for the third consecutive year. Humphrey landed on the honorable mention list, the second time in her career she has received an All-America bid from ILWomen.
Named a top-25 nominee for the prestigious Tewaaraton Award for the second year in a row, Nalls finished the 2024 season with a team-leading 28 caused turnovers and 32 ground balls, also ranking second with a career-high 60 draw controls. The graduate defender even added two goals and an assist.
Furthermore, Nalls started all 88 games of her college career, the most among all active Division I players. Her 88 starts is tied for second-most in program history.
Pacing the Tar Heels' offense, Humphrey had a team-high 38 assists and 57 points during her first season in Chapel Hill while also scoring 19 goals. She had at least two points in all but two contests, highlighted by a season-high eight (two goals, six assists) against High Point.
Humphrey is the current active Division I leader with 3.17 assists per game, also ranking second with 168 career assists and third with 4.83 points per game.
Additionally, both Nalls (second team) and Humphrey (honorable mention) garnered All-America honors from USA Lacrosse. Nalls also earned a spot on the All-ACC First Team and IWLCA All-South Region First Team.
