June 15, 2024 | Track & Field
NEW ORLEANS – Reigning national champion Parker Wolfe was named the Southeast Region Men's Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the season.
Wolfe, who hails from Denver, Colorado, won the 5000-meter title at the 2024 NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Earlier in the season, Wolfe doubled up on first-place efforts at the ACC Outdoor Championships with victories in both the 5000 and 10,000 meters – the former of which was a 13:19.38 meet record.
Members coaches voted on these honors after the 2024 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend in Eugene, Oregon, and considered performances throughout the season. Only USTFCCCA member schools are eligible for awards.
