VILLANOVA, PA. - The Premier Lacrosse League continued its 2024 campaign this past weekend, with six North Carolina men's lacrosse alums making an impact in the third PLL weekend, at Villanova Stadium just outside of Philadelphia.
June 15 - Boston Cannons vs. Philadelphia Waterdogs
Cannons faceoff specialist Zac Tucci had a career game this past weekend, scoring two one-point goals, including the game-winning goal in overtime, and one two-point goal offensively. At the faceoff stripe, Tucci went 18-24 (75%), and collected 13 ground balls. Tucci's two-point goal before the half was the first of his career, and the 13 ground balls was a career-high for the former Tar Heel. Cannons teammate Marcus Holman scored a one-point goal in the Boston victory.
June 15 - Utah Archers vs. Carolina Chaos
Defensive midfielder Connor Maher recorded a caused turnover and two ground balls in the 9-7 defensive win for the Archers. On the flip side, Jack Rowlett had three caused turnovers and two ground balls, and Chaos defenseman Will Bowen collected a ground ball.
June 16 - California Redwoods vs. New York Atlas
Making his season debut for the Redwoods after being traded by the Atlas in March, Chris Gray earned the start at midfield for his new team, scoring two one-point goals, while adding a ground ball.
