Parker Wolfe & Alum Madison Wiltrout Advance To Olympic Trials Finals

Parker Wolfe and UNC alum Madison Wiltrout have both advanced to the finals on Sunday at the US Track and Field Olympic Trials, taking place in Eugene, Oregon, at historic Hayward Field.
On Thursday, Wolfe competed in the 5,000m semifinal, his first race since winning the national championship earlier this month. He finished second in a heat dominated by pro runners, moving on with a time of 13:33.96.
On Friday, Wiltrout, who graduated from UNC last year and holds both the Tar Heel School Record and the ACC Record in the javelin, advanced to the finals after finishing seventh with a throw of 53.83m (176-7ft) on her second attempt out of three.
Both will compete in the finals on Sunday, June 30th, which is the final day of the US Olympic Trials, for a spot on Team USA in Paris. Wiltrout's javelin throw starts at 7:10 p.m. ET, while Wolfe's race is at 7:30 p.m. ET. Watch live on NBC.
