Eight Tar Heels Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina, the 2023 ACC Champions, has seen eight of its women's tennis players earn ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction, while the team once again garnered ITA All-Academic Team status for the 2023-24 season.
Reese Brantmeier, Fiona Crawley, Tatum Evans, Sara McClure, Thea Rabman, Elizabeth Scotty, Carson Tanguilig and Reilly Tran all represented Carolina on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list.
Scotty earned the honor for the fifth-straight year, while Crawley and McClure landed on the team for the fourth year in a row. Brantmeier and Tanguilig are two-time honorees and Evans, Rabman and Tran each landed on the list for the first time.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
