Tar Heels Welcome NC Central To Kenan Stadium On Saturday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina football team returns to Kenan Stadium this Saturday for the second of three consecutive home games, hosting North Carolina Central at 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.Â

Following last weekend's win over Charlotte, the Tar Heels are now 2-0 for the fifth time in the last six years. UNC was 2-0 only five times int he 20 years prior to Coach Brown's return to Carolina in 2019.
Second Stint Success
Carolina is now second in the ACC in overall wins since Mack Brown's return to Chapel Hill. Clemson leads the way during that span with 55 overall wins, while UNC is second with 40 and NC State is third with 39.Â

Graduate defensive lineman Jahvaree Ritzie is leading the nation with five sacks through two games, but the Carolina defense as a whole is also getting after the quarterback, ranking eighth in the nation in team sacks with four per game after two wins.

In the win over Charlotte, freshman running back Davion Gause rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown, while catching one pass for 16 yards, in just his second collegiate game.
