Ford Shoots 67, Men's Golf Climbs Four Spots to Seventh

David Ford shot 4-under-par 67 on Tuesday to lead the University of North Carolina in the second round of the NCAA Urbana Men's Golf Regional at the Atkins Golf Club in Urbana, Ill.
The Tar Heels shot 1-over 285 to move up four spots to seventh in the 13-team field. Carolina is 19 shots behind the leader, Illinois, and 10 shots behind fifth-place Troy. The top five teams and the low individual not on one of those five teams advance to the NCAA Championships.
The Fighting Illini lead top-seed Oklahoma State and UNLV by three strokes. Texas Tech is fourth at 2 under par, Troy is fifth at 1 under, Marquette is sixth at 4 over and UNC is seventh at 9 over.
Ford (73-67) is tied for ninth at 2-under 140. Carolina's Sihan Sandhu (73-71) shot even-par today and is tied with Keaton Vo (71-73) for 30th place at even-par 142.
UNLV's Caden Fioroni (68-67) is the individual leader at 7-under 134.
