David Ford A Finalist For Haskins Award

North Carolina's David Ford is one of 10 finalists for the 2025 Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel.

Beginning in 1971, Haskins Award is given to the top male collegiate golfer as voted on by college golfers, coaches and members of the golf media.Â

Ford is the No. 1-ranked player in the country and is No. 1 in the PGA TOUR University standings. He set UNC single-season records this season for wins (five), stroke average (68.78), score to par (-89), average score to par per round (-2.47) and rounds in the 60s (25).

The senior from Peachtree Corners, Ga., tied the career record for wins by a Tar Heel with seven.

He also set UNC career records for scoring average (70.13), score to par (-162), average score to par per round (-1.13) and rounds in the 60s (66).
