Eight Women's Tennis Tar Heels Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—Eight members of the 2024-25 University of North Carolina women's tennis team have earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced on Monday.
Tar Heels Reese Brantmeier, Tatum Evans, Alanis Hamilton, Claire Hill, Theadora Rabman, Mary Grace Rennard, Carson Tanguilig and Lindsay Zink all grabbed the accolade.
In addition, the Carolina team as a whole was named an ITA All-Academic Team.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:

In addition, the Carolina team as a whole was named an ITA All-Academic Team.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
- Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
- Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
