Women’s Lacrosse Places Eight On All-ACC Teams

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina women's lacrosse program placed eight players on the various All-ACC teams, the league announced on Tuesday. The eight selections are the most of any team in the league. Sam Forrest, Chloe Humphrey, Kate Levy, Eliza Osburn and Addison Pattillo were named first team, while Brooklyn Walker-Welch appeared on the second team. Kaleigh Harden and Kiley Mottice rounded out the selections on the third team.
A Glastonbury, Conn., native, Forrest burst onto the scene last season when she was named IWLCA Defender of the Year. She is now a two-time Tewaaraton Top 25 honoree and a member of the U.S. National Team that will compete at the World Lacrosse Championships this summer. She was also drafted with the sixth pick in the WLL Draft by the Maryland Charm.
Humphrey, last year's Tewaaraton and Honda Sport Award for Lacrosse winner, has continued to elevate her game in 2026. She currently leads the nation in goals (79) and points (112), while her 33 assists are tied for 27th. The national preseason player of the year, Humphrey claimed first-team All-America honors last year along with NCAA and ACC Tournament Most Outstanding Player recognitions. She went on to become a staple with the U.S. National Team and will be a part o the squad that competes at the World Championships this summer.
A preseason All-America, Levy was a midseason add to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. She had a breakout game at Virginia that saw her cause six turnovers and grab five groundballs to earn National Defensive Player of the Week honors. In total, Levy has tallied 19 goals, eight assists, 23 groundballs, 18 caused turnovers and nine draw conrols.
A Castle Rock, Colo., native, Osburn has put herself in the discussion for the top midfielder in college lacrosse. She claimed All-America honors last year while being named ACC Freshman of the Year. Her game has only continued to elevate this season. She's scored 25 goals and dished out 16 assists to rank third on the team in points with 41. She's also grabbed 19 groundballs, caused 12 turnovers and secured 27 draw controls. Osburn is also a member of the U.S. National Team that will compete at the World Championships this summer.
Pattillo has flourished during her sophomore season after coming on strong late in her freshman campaign last year. She's currently second on the team in goals and points with 41 and 49 respectively. A dodging nightmare for defenders, Pattillo is also effective in the ride, having caused 14 turnovers to go along with 15 groundballs.
A three-time All-America, Walker-Welch remains one of the best defenders in the country. She's played in 10 games this season, starting nine, and tallied 14 groundballs and five turnovers, while making life difficult for her match-ups. This is Walker-Welch's third All-ACC recognition.
Harden is making her first appearance on the All-ACC teams. She's been a driving force for UNC's midfield this year and is tied for the team lead with 64 draw controls. Harden's added eight goals, an assist, 16 groundballs and 11 caused turnovers.
A Downingtown, Pa. native, Mottice's leadership and experience is evident when around Carolina's program. She's also one of the toughest two-way middies in the country and his being recognized for the first time on the All-ACC lists. This season, she's posted 21 goals, two assists, 17 groundballs, eight caused turnovers and three draw controls.
The Tar Heels open the ACC Tournament on Wednesday at 11 a.m. when they take on Duke at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. The game is being aired on ACC Network.
