Played running back and linebacker for four years at West Henderson High School for Coach Dan Millwood. Earned all-area, all-conference and All-Western North Carolina honors. Had 122 tackles and rushed for 800 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior. Also competed in basketball and ran the sprints in track. Born Douglas Gordon Greene on Oct. 3, 1978. Majoring in industrial relations. Favorite athletes include Walter Payton, Terrell Davis and Goldberg. His younger brother, who was stricken with leukemia at age 3, has been his life’s inspiration. His grandfather is one of the winningest high school football coaches in Western North Carolina.
