Ryan McKee joined the Carolina coaching staff as an offensive graduate assistant in 2013.
McKee was a four-year letterwinner at Southern Miss from 2005-08 and played his final season in Hattiesburg under head coach Larry Fedora and offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic. He earned second-team all-conference honors at offensive tackle in his junior and senior seasons.
McKee graduated from USM with a bachelor's degree in business administration and then embarked on a three-year NFL career. He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2009 by the New York Jets and then later was picked up by the St. Louis Rams. He played for the Rams for three seasons as a reserve tackle and guard.
Ryan and his wife, Laura, reside in Durham.
