Teresa Vanderford, a member of the UNC Athletics staff since 1983, serves as an administrative assistant for Senior Associate AD Rick Steinbacher and the UNC football program. In that role, Vanderford formulates and oversees the Carolina Football Family program.
A native of Greensboro, N.C., Vanderford graduated from UNC in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television and Motion Pictures (RTVMP).
She and her husband, Jim, have three daughters - Maria, Karen and Samantha. Maria, a former manager for the UNC men’s basketball team, works as a media relations assistant for the Carolina Panthers. Karen is a Promotions and Fan Development Events Specialist for the Carolina Hurricanes. Samantha is a student at Appalachian State University.
