2018-19 (Fall): Shot 71-71-67 to tie for 14th in the 29-player field at the Sun Bowl Marathon All-America Classic in El Paso • Tied for UNC’s best finish at the Royal Oaks (T-14).
2017-18: PING/Golf Coaches Association honorable mention All-America selection • Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar, Academic All-ACC and ACC Honor Roll student • Shot a 69 in the second round of the 2018 NCAA Championship, UNC’s low round of the championship • Tied for 14th at 4-under-212 in the NCAA Kissimmee Regional, Carolina’s second-best finish in the regional • Shot a team-best 67 in the decisive final round of the regional.
2016-17: Played in seven tournaments • Finished in the top 10 in three of his four fall starts – sixth at Duke, T10 at Olympia Fields and T8 at the Tar Heel • Shot 71 or better in seven of his first eight rounds • Shot a season-best 68 in the second round in Wilmington • ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2015-16: Started all 11 events • Stroke average of 73.66 was fourth-best on the team • Posted three of UNC’s best five rounds – a season-low 64 at the Sea Best Invitational and 66s at Bridgestone and General Hackler • Three top 10s, including third at Sea Best, fourth at Bridgestone and T7 at Primland • Also was T12 at General Hackler • Carolina’s low finisher in two events (Sea Best and General Hacker) • Season-best 9 under par at Bridgestone when he shot 70-66-71.
Prep: Led Pinecrest High School to 2013 and 2015 state championships and a runner-up finish in 2014 • Teamed with his brother, Zach, to win the 2013 title • Finished fourth in individual competition at the 2014 state championship and fifth in the 2015 state championship • Three-time conference player of the year • Played for Coach Rich Wainwright • North Carolina Academic Scholar and member of the National Honor Society.
