Lacrosse Squads Host ACC Championships

BASIC FACTS: The 1999 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship will be hosted by the University of North Carolina at Fetzer Field (Natural Grass) on April 23 and 25, 1999. The championship game will begin at 3:30 p.m. The 1999 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship will be hosted by the University of North Carolina at Francis E. Henry Stadium (artificial turf) on April 24 and 25, 1999. The championship game will begin at 1:00 p.m.
PAIRINGS AND SEEDINGS: Will be announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference Office on Monday, April 19.
GAME TIMES: Semifinals for the men's tournament will be held at Fetzer Field on the University of North Carolina campus on Friday, April 23, 1999 at 6 and 8 p.m. Regardless of seeding, North Carolina will play in the 8 p.m. semifinal game on Friday night. Semifinals for the women's tournament will be held at Francis E. Henry Stadium on the University of North Carolina campus on Saturday, April 24, 1999 at 1 and 3 p.m. The #1 and #4 seeds will play in the 1 p.m. game and the #2 and #3 seeds will play in the 3 p.m. game. Both championship games are slated for Sunday, April 25, 1999. The women will play at 1 p.m. at Francis E. Henry Stadium and the men at 3:30 p.m. at Fetzer Field.
TELEVISION COVERAGE: The championship games for both men and women will be televised live by Home Team Sports, Fox Sports South and the Sunshine Network.
TICKET PRICES: Tickets for the women's tournament will be $3 for adults and $2 for ACC college students with ID's/children 18 and under/senior citizens per day of the tournament. Tickets for the men's tournament will be $5 for adults and $2 for ACC college students with ID's/children 18 and under/senior citizens per day of the tournament. Call the UNC Ticket Office at 1-800-722-4335 for advance ticket sales.

WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT PARKING: Spectator parking is limited. Spectators will be directed to the Boshamer Lot or the Ramshead Lot off Ridge Road. A fee of $3.00 will be charged in all lots in the immediate vicinity of Henry Stadium on Sunday only.
MEN'S TOURNAMENT PARKING: Spectator parking is limited. Spectators will be directed to the Highway 54 Visitors Lot or the Bell Tower Lot off South Road. A fee of $3.00 will be charged for parking in all lots in the immediate vicinity of Fetzer Field on Sunday only.
