CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--On Tuesday, North Carolina junior LaQuanda Barksdale will stop by to chat.
After leading the Tar Heels in rebounding during a solid sophomore season, Barksdale, a 5-foot-11 forward, has emerged as one of the top players in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Through 14 games this season, Barksdale led conference in scoring and rebounding, averaging 19.1 points and 9.6 boards per game.
Barksdale earned ACC Player of the Week honors on Dec. 13 after notching a career-high 31 points against Georgia Southern on Dec. 7 and a 29-point performance against Radford four days later. For the week, Barksdale averaged 30 points and 18.5 rebounds over two games.
Barksdale, among the "best of the rest" candidates for the Naismith Award, won't be stopping by until 2:30 p.m. ET Tuesday, but feel free to submit a question for her and we'll save it for her arrival.
