UNC Golfer Max Harris Earns All-America Honors

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- North Carolina golfer Max Harris, a senior from Worthing, England, has been named to the Ping/Golf Coaches Association of America second-team All-America squad. Teammate Brad Hyler, a senior from Raleigh, N.C., received honorable mention All-America honors.
Harris tied for 20th place at last week's NCAA Championships carding a five-under-par 283 total after rounds of 75-68-66-74. Earlier he was selected to this year's All-ACC squad for the third consecutive year. Harris was named third-team All-America in 1999 and was chosen second-team All-America in '98. He is currently ranked 10th in the MasterCard Collegiate Individual Rankings and the Golfweek/Sagarin Individual Rankings.
Hyler tied for 13th at the NCAA Championships last week. He posted a seven-under 281 total after firing rounds of 69-71-68-73.
