Game Notes From The Duke Vs. UNC Overtime Game

Duke is ranked fourth nationally
- Sophomore Sheana Mosch scored a career-high 29 points for her second
consecutive 20+ point performance. Mosch scored 25 of the 29 in the second
half, including 13 consecutive points in overtime.
- Senior Georgia Schweitzer dished out a career-high nine assists, while
committing only one turnover in 45 minutes. Schweitzer scored 18 points for
the game.
- Freshman Rometra Craig posted 17 points and a career-high eight rebounds
in just her second career start. She also dished out five assists and had
two steals.
- Senior Rochelle Parent took three charges in the game to improve her
season total to 28. Parent also scored nine points and grabbed eight
rebounds.
- The win for Duke is the seventh ACC victory in a row. It is also the 12th
win in the last 14 ACC games.
- Duke's victory earns the Blue Devils 1.5 points towards the Carlyle Cup
competition between UNC and Duke. North Carolina leads the overall total
16-2.5.
- The victory for Duke is only the fifth at UNC ever and it marks the first
overtime game between the two teams in 54 meetings.
- North Carolina shot 52% from the field for the game, which marks only the
sixth time in the last four years an opponent has shot over 50% against
Duke. In the other five games, Duke lost.
- Duke continues its best start in the school history with a 19-1 record.
- Duke will host Clemson in a battle of the top two teams in the ACC on
Sunday at 1:00 PM (RSN-TV). Duke's only loss this season came at the hands
of Clemson 93-75. Clemson is ranked 15th in Associated Press and 16th in
the ESPN/USA Today poll. Duke is ranked fourth nationally in both polls.
