Postseason Basketball Runs Through Chapel Hill! Carmichael To Host NCAA 1st & 2nd Rounds

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – For the second straight season, the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament runs through Chapel Hill as the Tar Heels have been selected as a host site for the first and second rounds next weekend. The announcement of the full 2026 Division I Women's Basketball Championship Bracket will be released on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Hosting for the 14th time overall, North Carolina is 24-1 when playing in NCAA Tournament games in Carmichael Arena.
Times and television designations for first and second round games from Carmichael Arena remain to be determined.
Tickets for the first and second Rounds of the 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will be released at a later time.
